Summary

Piper's fall was no accident。 Did someone want her dead? It's up to her sister to discover the truth in this shocking new thriller with an unreliable narrator, from the acclaimed author of Little Creeping Things。

Piper Sullivan was in a strange hiking accident last month and has been in a coma ever since。 Her older sister, Savannah, can't pretend to be optimistic about it; things look bad。 Piper will likely never wake up, and Savannah will never get any answers about what exactly happened。

But then Savannah finds a note in Piper's locker, inviting Piper to a meeting of their school's wilderness club。。。at the very place and on the very day that she fell。 Which means there was a chance that Piper wasn't alone。 Someone might've seen something。 Worse, someone might've done something。 But who would want to hurt the perfect Piper Sullivan。。。and why?

To discover the truth, Savannah joins the club on their weekend-long camping trip on the same mountain where her sister fell。 But she better be careful; everyone in the club is a suspect, and everyone seems to be keeping secrets about that tragic day。

And Savannah? She's been keeping secrets, too。。。

Each character was horrible and confesses to acting horrible。 Piper is the picture perfect sister in AP classes and an “amazing” journalist。 Savannah is an average student whose steals her sister’s best friend’s boyfriend。 It’s a lame sister rivalry。 When Piper is left in a coma after an alleged suicide attempt, Savannah then goes on to accuse every other single character that they’re responsible for hurting Piper。

I started to read this a while back but I wasn't into it because I was a little irritated by the main character, Savannah。 I just found her whiny and self centered。 All the talk about what happened before Piper fell into a coma didn't sit well with me。This is a high school drama,so the characters' actions are not that mature。 When I read this again, I found myself hooked, and I admit, I tried to guess who the culprit is。 The twists were good that I didn't guess it correctly。 This book is good bu I started to read this a while back but I wasn't into it because I was a little irritated by the main character, Savannah。 I just found her whiny and self centered。 All the talk about what happened before Piper fell into a coma didn't sit well with me。This is a high school drama,so the characters' actions are not that mature。 When I read this again, I found myself hooked, and I admit, I tried to guess who the culprit is。 The twists were good that I didn't guess it correctly。 This book is good but I can't help feeling that way at the first half of the book。 。。。more

Keskitasoinen teinijännäri。 Eniten tätä voisi kuvailla amerikkalaisella tv-sarjalla, jossa lukiolaisilla on omat piirit ja luokan pahikset ja hyvikset。 Tästä kirjasta plussaa tosin, ettei kukaan hahmo oikeaan ollut kovin mustavalkoinen, vaan jokaisella oli jotain luurankoja kaapissaan。 Toisaalta tämä aiheutti sen, etten pitänyt kenestäkään hahmosta。

I received a copy of this book from Netgalley for an honest review。I would definitely consider this a guilty pleasure read。 It was not amazing but I found it entertaining and fun。 Reading through Savannah's point of view was interesting because she's basically a jerk and unapologetic about it。 However, there were way too many red herrings at the end that I felt like it distracted from the story。 I received a copy of this book from Netgalley for an honest review。I would definitely consider this a guilty pleasure read。 It was not amazing but I found it entertaining and fun。 Reading through Savannah's point of view was interesting because she's basically a jerk and unapologetic about it。 However, there were way too many red herrings at the end that I felt like it distracted from the story。 。。。more

The plot twist, the regrets, the guilt, the emotion。 Spoiler the ending is not a happy ending which make it even more sadder but I just love this book。

I want to start off my saying that this isn’t a particularly well written book。 There’s times where I can tell that the author was trying a bit too hard with the metaphors, which was a bit distracting in the beginning。 BUT once you get past that the story itself is pretty good! I finished this I’m a day because I couldn’t put it down - I HAD to know who did it。 It’s a thriller set in high school, yes there’s petty drama but it adds to the atmosphere。 Also, we’ve all been 16 before, high school f I want to start off my saying that this isn’t a particularly well written book。 There’s times where I can tell that the author was trying a bit too hard with the metaphors, which was a bit distracting in the beginning。 BUT once you get past that the story itself is pretty good! Sure。 I just got so bored of this book, and skipped to the end。 It was an accident。 All of that “investigating” and Savannah blaming every single person she across, for it to be an accident。 BOR-ING。

Savannah is a bad person and pretty unlikeable so it's a bit hard to get into。 And the author has an annoying habit of ending most chapters with a "shocking" line like "Someone pushed my sister" or "Whoever hurt Piper is here with me" and it gets old quickly。 But it was actually better than I expected it to be。 It was a nice refresher after the “tax evasion murders” reasoning I’d been getting from YA murder mysteries lately。 Savannah is a bad person and pretty unlikeable so it's a bit hard to get into。 And the author has an annoying habit of ending most chapters with a "shocking" line like "Someone pushed my sister" or "Whoever hurt Piper is here with me" and it gets old quickly。 But it was actually better than I expected it to be。 It was a nice refresher after the “tax evasion murders” reasoning I’d been getting from YA murder mysteries lately。 。。。more

The book was definitely a 10/10 highly recommend! The thriller starts off with a chill intro to all the characters and works it’s way up to the plot。The book based off of the synopsis is about a girl named Savannah and how her sister Piper going into a severe coma after mysteriously falling off of a cliff。 Everyone says it was an accident but Savannah believes that this mysterious case was no accident…Very good story with many twists and turns。

I received a copy of this book in exchange for a review。This is the story of a high school girl who's sister recently suffered a fall and is now in a coma。 She infiltrates the group of people who were meant to be with her right before the fall in an attempt to determine who knows more about the fall than they are letting on。 I thought this was terribly written and I id not enjoy it all at。 The premise was good, but the main character was far too quick to accuse someone and far too quick to deter I received a copy of this book in exchange for a review。This is the story of a high school girl who's sister recently suffered a fall and is now in a coma。 She infiltrates the group of people who were meant to be with her right before the fall in an attempt to determine who knows more about the fall than they are letting on。 I thought this was terribly written and I id not enjoy it all at。 The premise was good, but the main character was far too quick to accuse someone and far too quick to determine that the accused was in fact not guilty。 Yes, she is 17 years old and isn't a professional detective, but I was annoyed at her incredible ineptitude。 I wouldn't recommend this one。 。。。more

Like。。。 Are you serious? Also, the title is a little bit misleading。 "Dead Girls Can't Tell Secrets" I jumped into this story thinking that someone would be dead, but that wasn't the case。 There were secrets - TONS of secrets involved, but no one was really dead。 The book is YA, and I do agree with some of the other reviewers that this story is perfect for younger audiences looking for a quick thriller to read。 I just wasn't a fan of the writing, the plot, and the characters。 。。。more

This book had so many suspects and secrets。 Loads of red herrings and suspicious behavior, it was hard for me to pin the down who did it! I enjoyed the mystery of it all。 The grief from Savannah, as well as the others, was thick and you could feel it。 I also feel bad for the people who were in the club who were actually there for the club。 Overall I enjoyed the read and how each of the characters did have to realize their part and sort that out。

Dead Girls Can’t Tell Secrets is the perfect fast paced YA thriller。 This book is so well written and you have no idea what happened until the end。 I kept wondering “what happened? Who did it?” the entire time because there are so many different suspects。 I loved the setting in the wilderness and plot reveals happened at the perfect times。 This book completely enthralled me from the beginning and I’d recommend it to anyone who loves YA thrillers or wants a thriller that isn’t too scary!
